Porsche Tennis Grand Prix also a Hit on YouTube

Stuttgart. The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is also a worldwide hit in the internet. It’s official website www.porsche-tennis.de has recorded 210,421 visits from qualifying Sunday to the semifinals on Saturday. A total of 382,125 gigabytes (2008: 286,315 GB) were downloaded. This year, the majority of visitors came from Germany (51,556) followed by USA with 41,948. Caroline Wozniacki’s first appearance at the tournament attracted 9,947 users from Denmark and there were 9,533 visits from people in China thanks in part to Na Li’s performances. One amazing figure is the 20,333 visits from Rumania.

The visitors were not only interested in facts and figures. An ever increasing number wanted to view the online interviews, highlights and behind the scenes reports. The section recorded 22,427 clicks (2008: approx. 14,000). The number of people participating in the online competition “Find the perfect Match” was up by 150% on 2008 – from 600 to 1,500. Daily News, the tournament journal, was downloaded over 2,300 times.

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix was to be seen in the internet portal YouTube for the very first time and the premiere was impressive. The day’s highlights, the interviews and the behind the scenes reports were viewed over 8,300 times.
